The Staart is a RADICAL PLAY MUSIC & ART collective created by An Pierlé & Gil Mortio

The Staart is an interdisciplinary collective exploring new forms of live performance at the intersection of improvisation, written text, music, cabaret, film, and installation.

​

Each performance emerges in real time: unstable, immersive, and unrepeatable — somewhere between concert, ritual, cinematic hallucination, and collective dream-state.

Moving fluidly through experimental pop, free improvisation, krautrock, chanson, cabaret, noise, and visual performance, The Staart creates porous environments in which composition and accident continuously collide.

Rather than presenting fixed works, the collective constructs temporary emotional architectures: spaces where sound, image, body, language, and audience become part of the same living organism.

​

The project can exist equally within theatres, galleries, museums, clubs, abandoned spaces, and site-specific contexts.
